The Wiesnwüterich is the moment when festive spirits suddenly turn into entitlement. First you are still toasting politely, then the band plays too loud, the stein sits too surely in the hand and someone at the table starts acting as if they had personally invented the evening.

He is Okkultoberfest in delusions of grandeur: too proud for restraint, too thirsty for good reasons and far too convinced that “atmosphere” is just the harmless word for small fits of tyranny.

No king. More the golden excuse for why frenzy, fury and tradition sometimes sit at the same table and none of them gets up first.

No colour for kings. More for tent light on beer mats, cocky orders, too many receipts in too little time and that one moment when everyone at the table suddenly believes they are generous, immortal and musically gifted.

It hangs somewhere between band brass in the final chorus, wet wood, old laughter and people very earnestly explaining they have it all under control. A warm, smooth, slightly damned yellow-gold for nights when the landlord is still awake, reason left long ago and somewhere in the tent someone is already raising the wrong oath again.
