Santa Muerte - Patch

SANTA MUERTE

You did not go to her when everything was going to plan.

Those who came to Santa Muerte were the ones whose prayers had gone unanswered elsewhere. People with debts, with fear, with a name in their head, or with the simple wish for one more night. Some brought flowers, others alcohol, cigarettes, or only a candle they could not really afford.

She never asked why they had come so late.
Perhaps that was exactly why so many came back.

Because whoever bargains with Death needs no saint who pretends never to have heard of a bad decision.
