The idea was actually simple: a beer mat like the ones lying in any tavern — only from our year, from our festival and with exactly the kind of creatures that eventually turn up when an evening stays open too long.

That became five. Ziegenjodler, Brauhaus-Barbar, Hendlhenker, Tuba-Trunkenbold and Humpenhauptmann. Each mat carries its own figure on the front and one of the five commandments of Okkultoberfest on the back. No great mystery. More a small collection of hops, barley, bad influence and the realisation that some rules only make sense once the landlord is already counting along.

A set for everyone who sees the second Okkultoberfest not just as a drop, but as what it is slowly becoming: a small custom of its own in the wrong light.
