Silver stainless steel has a smooth, uniform surface by nature – it never has a heavy texture or a “rough” look, and the black laser engraving sits clean and sharp on that surface. That’s simply how this material exists in the real world, not just in our photos.
If the lighting in your room makes it appear lighter, that can happen with reflective metals. But the piece you received is precisely the one displayed in the product images.
