The golden values follow the denim notation: W = waist, L = leg length, both in inches. If you know your jeans size, you can read it straight off here.
How to measure
Waistband
Lay the jeans flat, measure the waistband edge to edge, double the value. The waistband is firm denim and gives very little – when in doubt, compare against the jeans size you already wear.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch along the inside seam down to the hem. Easiest on a pair that already fits you in length.
Seat width
Lay the jeans flat, measure left to right about 10 cm above the crotch. This is the decisive measurement for the fit across seat and hips.
Thigh
Measure across one leg directly below the crotch. Relevant if you have heavy thighs.
Leg opening
Measure across one leg at the hem. Relevant if the jeans have to go over boots.
Fit
Low rise · straight leg · true to size. Wide matches the next size up of Regular in width, but keeps the length of its own size.
Seat width, thigh and leg opening are half widths on the garment laid flat – multiply by two for the circumference. Tolerance ±1 cm.
The body height figures are for orientation only – waist and leg length decide.
For reference: someone 1.78 m tall who normally wears a 32/32 takes M Regular.
